Arinsal in brief
Arinsal is a narrow village located close to the head of a steep-sided valley north of Andorra la Vella. It has undergone rapid transition and development in the last few years, and most of its runs are above 1950m (all slopes are between 1550m and 2560m). It is part of the Vallnord skiing region located in the Pyrenees, and its slopes lie between 1940m and 2625m. The season runs each year from December to April.

Arinsal’s skiing area
Arinsal’s skiing area includes 28 lifts, 63km of slopes, 10% green runs, 39% blue runs, 39% red runs and 12% black runs. The resort is suitable for all different levels of skiers, whilst snowboarders can enjoy themselves at the terrain-park. Snowmaking covers 19km of the area to ensure a lengthy snow season.
Also, the Vallnord Lift Pass purchased for Arinsal allows access to other nearby ski resorts such as Pal and Arcalis.
What is there to do in Arinsal?
In Arinsal, there are various restaurants, bars and shops. One of the restaurants, if weather permits, has barbecues often. Others bars and clubs include Quo Vadis, El Cau and Surf, whilst El Derby has a great atmosphere on the karaoke nights. There are great restaurants also, such as Cisco’s, a Tex-Mex place in a charming wooden and stone building, and Rocky Mountain, which is known for its steaks.
How do we get there?
There is not an airport in Andorra, but you could fly to Toulouse airport in South France, which would entail a 3 hour journey from Toulouse to Andorra by car.
