Chamrousse
Home to the 1968 Olympic Men and Women's downhills, Chamrousse is a ski resort that is just waiting to pop back into the limelight. A firm favourite with all the locals from Grenoble, just 30 minutes away, this is a resort with an illustrious history and a bright future. Just the right size so you do not get lost, but big enough to keep the most demanding intermediate happy for the week, the resort offers a range of activities and events throughout the season to make this a great overall ski holiday experience.
Chamrousse -
Chamrousse sizes itself up as a family friendly ski resort, but from the top of the Croix de Chamrousse you have a choice of 3 black runs to test your stamina, the Olympique H and Casserousse gives you a great challenge and takes you past the new Snowpark. For less accomplished skiers and snowboarders, or more sensible ones, there is a great network of greens and blues which bring you down to Roche Beranger and Le Recoin. The resort is big on excitement and has 3 snowparks, 1 natural between the Olympique H and Olympique D, one dedicated to kids at the top of the Croix de Chamrousse and another under the Marmottes Chairlift. The height of the resort means there is usually good snow conditions in the Chamrousse ski resort.
Chamrousse -
The Chamrousse Ski Resort is sperated into two towns. Roche Beranger is more suitable for families and Le Recoin for those wanting a slightly livelier time. Both have a good array of bars and restaurants, but this isn't Val d'Isere so real party animals will need to get their fix with a night trip to Grenoble, otherwise there is a choice of over 20 establishments in which to eat and drink and be merry at a lot less than you will pay in Val d'Isere. APRES SKI revolves around a fine selection of typically French bars and restaurants aswell as a variety of happening places like Gringo's or L'Embuscade
