Courchevel

Courchevel ski holidays conjure up images of Michelin starred restaurants, swanky hotels and expensive boutiques - it is the exclusive valley of the Three Valleys ski area. Despite this there is plenty to discover on a ski holiday in Courchevel that doesn't require a platinum card. There are four main centres:

Courchevel 1330 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650, & Courchevel 1850.

All provide excellent access to the pistes and there are direct cable cars from both Courchevel 1300 and Courchevel 1550. Check out the views from the top on our webcam!

Courchevel -

In the Courchevel Ski Resort the slopes are great whatever your ability, either at skiing or snowboarding. Courchevel Valley links into the Three Valley ski area providing 600km of pistes! In Courchevel Valley itself beginners can ski the network of green pistes as far as Courchevel 1650 and stay well within their comfort zone. Intermediates can enjoy a variety of reds or blues while experts can discover secret powder stashes and some of Europe's steepest black runs on the narrow pistes above the Saulire. Take a look at the Courchevel piste map for more information. Add plenty of tree protected runs, a good percentage of north facing slopes and some 5 star lunches into the mix and its easy to see why many people don't feel the need to invest in a 3 valley ski lift pass! However, for more accomplished skiiers who are looking to explore as much of the three valleys as possible whilst on their ski holiday in Courchevel, then the Three Valley ski lift pass would be recommended.

Courchevel 1850 is full of the finer things of life and offers the most exciting and expensive nightlife - top Paris cabaret acts and DJ's compete for your precious euros! There are plenty of places to be pampered, along with good shops, a bowling alley and a cinema. The traditional village centres of Courchevel 1300 and Courchevel 1550 have a more low key atmosphere with the emphasis on lively pubs and traditional mountain cuisine. All the areas are linked until midnight by the free ski bus. You can catch a bus to the nearby resort of La Tania, which is a smaller, more intimate ski resort.

Courchevel -

Courchevel 1850 offers the most variation for non-ski days and outdoor activities range from tobogganing to parachute jumps. Have a go at paragliding, snow-mobiling, night skiing, take a flight trip or go for a snow shoe walk - the possibilities are endless.
