St Gervais

In the St Gervais resort you can ski at the foot of Europe's highest summit -Mont Blanc. It is the only ski resort in the Alps where you can combine the pleasures of skiing with health and beauty spa treatments, as it is the home of Saint Gervais Alti-Forme hot springs.

The mountain is easily accessible to all levels of ability, whether skiing or snowboarding - the Mont Blanc Tramway runs from the centre up to the Bionnassay glacier in the heart of the mountains. The outstanding views and the sheer majesty of Mont Blanc will take your breath away. St Gervais is a picturesque ski resort at the entry of the Valley Montjoie on the western side of the Mont Blanc. Unlike many other ski resorts it was not built for the sole purpose of skiing and snowboarding, and the difference in the architecture shows.

There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and services which all add to the character of the place as well as making for an enjoyable ski holiday. St Gervais is easy to reach by both car and train and it is a great base camp for exploring the Mont Blanc region, and the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area.

Being more of a town than a ski resort there is plenty to do if good snow conditions are not about, including relaxing in the thermal baths! Other activities on offer for include paragliding, ice skating, a swimming pool and snow shoe walks.

Creche is available with the ESF for children from 18 months to 3 years. For people of all ages from 4 years up enrol in ski school lessons. We carefully choose the ski schools that we work with. All members of ESF teaching staff are certified instructors and have a good knowledge of English so you are guaranteed to be in good hands while you learn to ski, or even on your snowboard lessons.
