St Sorlin d'Arves

St Sorlin ski resort is part or the Les Sybelles ski domain, encompassing six ski resorts - offering 310km of pistes! Opened in December 2003, this development has propelled the region from unknown status into one of France's five largest areas for skiing and snowboardng. St Sorlin shares the L'Arvan valley with its smaller sister village St Jean d'Arves and a 5-minute ski bus journey links up the 2 ski resorts.

St Sorlin d'Arves -

The north facing runs above St Sorlin boast some of the more challenging pistes and intermediate skiers and snowboarders and families will find the area ideal. There is plenty to explore including the wide bowls of La Toussuire and swooping reds of Le Corbier. Take a look at the layout of the mountains on our piste map. There are experts who track out the extensive off piste - the tracks are easy to see and stay unmarked for ages, perfect for those just starting out! St Sorlin d'Arves -

Les Sybelles is a delightful ski area with a rural atmosphere and although St Sorlin is the main ski resort it still manages to maintain a traditional village air. This is a truly French rustic scene, where locals have never left Savoie and think nothing of drinking red wine with breakfast. They'll happily chat all day and teach you some vocabulary that is never heard in the classroom!

For the adventurous there is paragliding, snow shoe walks, dog-sledding and cross country skiing. For those that want a break from all the activity there is a Fromagerie open for visits.

For young children the Garderie is open 9am - 5.30pm for children 2 years and up. Other wise ski school lesson are available for children from the age of 5.
