Val Cenis -
The Val Cenis ski resort is medium sized, yet it does not have busy slopes and therefore lift queues are a rarity. It has pistes for all levels of skiing but it is perhaps best suited to those of an intermediate ability, whilst beginner skiiers and snowboarders will benefit greatly from the lack of crowds and queues. Val Cenis has blue slopes which climb right to the top of the mountain, denying no one the fantastic views on offer. This resort is especially famous for being home to the longest green piste in Europe - the Escargot - which works it’s way down the mountain from 2100m to 1450m.

For medium-sized resorts, it is usually expected that the night-life will be fairly lively. In fact for Val Cenis, the Après Ski on offer is very quiet, lively bars and night spots are not a priority here. There is one disco hall which stays open until 4am and sometimes arranges theme evenings. There are two cinemas and also an ice skating rink if you are in need of a break from skiing or snowboarding.
