Val Thorens

In Val Thorens ski an extra long season - the resort has been purpose built above the tree line and is the highest resort in the Three Valleys ski area, and even Europe. It boasts some of the best snow conditions and powder in France and is linked to the Courchevel and Meribel ski resorts. Val Thorens is a fun ski resort! There are a number of lively British, Dutch and Danish run bars and restaurants to suit all tastes - from traditional Savoyard to tasty pizza restaurants. The town is fairly spaced out but cleverly linked by a network of malls and lifts with a good variety of shops. Most of the accommodation begins and ends very close to the ski pistes & an efficient shuttle bus service links the main areas together. The sports and leisure centre offers many activities including a good-sized pool with sun beds, table tennis and snooker.
