Bardonecchia is situated close to the Frejus tunnel in northern Italy. It is an hour and a half drive from Turin, so if you like cultural city breaks as well as winter sports then Bardonecchia can offer you the best of both worlds.

Bardonecchia was one of the first ski resorts in Italy and it is still rated as one of the top ten resorts in the country. The skiing in Bardonecchia is spread out over three areas, Melezet, Jafferau and Campo Smith, covering over 100km of terrain. Many of the beginners slopes are on the lower pistes of Campo Smith and Melezet, whereas the skiers of an intermediate and advanced level will have to go further up the mountain to find challenging slopes. Do not worry though, the resort is fully lift-linked.
