Bormio is one of the most well-known Italian resorts. It is a great all-round winter resort as not only does it offer great skiing but also a huge variety of other snow activities.
Bormio - Ski
Bormio caters best for beginner and intermediate skiers. It has around 39km of pistes for you to explore! For experts this is probably not the best place to visit as there isn not much in the way of challenge here apart from the off-piste skiing and the Pisa Stelvio which was used for the Mens Downhill course in the 1995 World Championships. If you wanted to though, you could go along to Livigno and Santa Catarina for more variety. With most of the runs above 2500m, snow coverage is assured throughout the season.
Bormio - Apres Ski and other Activites
The Apres Ski in Bormio is very good. There is a wide selection of bars and restaurants for you to relax in after a day on the slopes and the resort boasts a busy nightlife. The resort has many shops which provide pretty much everything you will need for an enjoyable holiday.
