Ski - Canillo
The skiing in Canillo itself is NOT that great as it only has 3 pistes, but the Granvalira lift pass provides you with some fantastic skiing opportunities in Encamp, Pas de La Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter(see our Canillo piste map). Canillo is a perfect choice for beginners and intermediates.
Apres Ski - Canillo
The Pub Camping Pia is a great place for a night out after a day of skiing. With great music and drinks, it is open from 8:30pm until 4am and is always busy! Another good place is the Pub la Roda though this is usually a lot quieter. It is open form 5pm until 8:30pm for Apres Ski and then open again form 10:30pm until 4am. If you are not in the mood for cooking, then the Cantina dels Racons restaurant is certainly worth a visit.
Activities
Canillo has so much to offer its visitors. The palau de gel has ice skating, hockey, an Olympic sized swimming pool, indoor squash and tennis courts and on Fridays, it offers ice carting!
But do not forget that is very easy to visit other places in Andorra. Why not do a spot of duty-free shopping in the capital, Andorra la Vella, or try snowmobiling in Port d Envalira. Andorra also houses one of the best automobile museums, anyone who is interested in cars will be in their element here!
