El Tarter - Ski
El Tarter ski resort can be found in the Grandvalira ski area. El Tarter is connected to Soldeu however it is not as busy a resort - perfect if you love to ski but is like crowds and hectic slopes! El Tarter is a convenient, quieter base for your ski holiday. Its quality accommodation options are centred around a high-speed gondola and a bus service links the centre to Soldeu, which gives you easily the opportunity to make use of skiing in Soldeu as well.
For beginners there is varying terrain for you to perfect your new found skills. Intermediate skiers are well catered for with numerous pistes coloured red. There are also downhill, forest runs - ideal to improve skills and techniques. For the advanced skier, El Tarter is a little limiting but you will be close to Soldeu where there are plenty of black runs as well as many off-piste opportunities. (see our El Tarter piste map).
Activities
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants but for other activities like snowmobiling, tobogganing and ice skating you will have to go to Soldeu.
