Le Grand Bornand - Ski Resort Guide

Webcam | Piste Map | Snow Report & Weather Forecast

Thanks to the nearness of the Aravis range, which catches passing cloud formations, snowfalls are particularly abundant in this region, while the North/South orientation of the ski area also provides high sunshine hours. It’s real picture postcard scenery, Le Grand-Bornand ski area, with its chalets and small mountain restaurants…

Le Grand Bornand - Ski

Around Mont Lachat you will find 90 kilometres of downhill ski runs, serviced by 37 ski lifts. This fully linked ski area is spread out between 1000 and 2100 metres of altitude, starting from Grand Bornand-Village or Grand Bornand-Chinaillon. Fantastic skiing in wonderful scenery between forests of epicea firs and small mountain granaries, offering ski-lovers both the Joyere sector, ideal for beginners, the open spaces of Maroly and the more difficult descents of the Lachat. Le Grand Bornand – Chinaillon offers the best access to the downhill slopes since most runs begin here. All skiers, whatever their level will be enchanted.

Le Grand Bornand - Resort

Le Grand Bornand is a traditional village in the heart of the Aravis Mountain range in the Haute Savoie, located between Mont Blanc, Lake Annecy and Switzerland, that has maintained its Savoyard identity above everything else. Le Grand Bornand is a charming, typical Savoyard village with a market square, market hall, church and various shops. Some of the more than 400 chalets in the resort are up to 300 years old. Le Grand Bornand-Chinaillon, the other part of the village, is rather modern as opposed to traditional.
