Snow Report & Weather Forecast
Grimentz is a perfect location to consider if you are looking for a holiday in a location completely different to modern towns. Home to cobbled, narrow streets, Grimentz is a traditional, Swiss village with a fantastic modern ski lift - combining two eras perfectly. Grimentz offers some fantastic views including a 360° panorama of the “Imperial Crown” - the five peaks of the Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn, Dent-Blanche and the Matterhorn all of which are higher than 4000m.
Ski
Skiing in Grimentz is brilliant as most of the pistes are above 2100m meaning that the resort is fairly snow secure all year round. There is a variety of ski runs for you to try, ranging from easy blue to the more difficult black to open pistes to forest runs. Whatever you are looking for, you’re sure to find it here in Grimentz.
There are free buses departing from Grimentz to the other nearby resorts.
There are great Après-Ski facilities on the resort - by far the best bar is “Chez Florian” which always has great food, music and brilliant atmosphere. The nightlife isn’t bad either with two pubs and a nightclub which closes at 3am.
Activities
Far from being ‘just a skiing resort’, Grimentz offers… Ice skating, swimming, 33km of winter hikes, snow shoe walking, ice climbing, paragliding, tobogganing, kids bobsleigh, ice fishing and the chance to explore underground lakes!
