Webcam | Piste Map | Snow Report & Weather Forecast

Kicking Horse resort is situated amongst the Purcells, the Selkirks and the Canadian Rockies, three mountain ranges within a region packed with national parks. Kicking Horse resort is known for being a mountain of adventure and has a hardcore reputation. Even it’s powder is well known for being so light and dry which is why it is called ‘Champagne Powder’. The resort covers 2750 acres which includes 106 runs.

Kicking Horse - Ski

Kicking Horse resort is known for it’s extreme adventure factor which may discourage first time skiers from choosing it as a place to start learning to ski. Although it is a resort that caters heavily for more advanced skiers due to the steep terrain, there is still the opportunity for less advanced skiers to enjoy Kicking Horse resort. Access to beginner and intermediate terrain has been improved making it easier for all levels of skier to enjoy Kicking Horse. The steep ridges and deep bowls will keep attracting the more advanced skiers and with your Kicking Horse lift pass you can access the Golden Eagle Express gondola which will take you up to the slopes in comfort.

Kicking Horse - Resort

Although Kicking Horse does not have a extensive range of après ski opportunities, there are several bars and restaurants that offer good quality food and entertainment. You can even enjoy some mountain top dining at Eagle Eye's Restaurant after having enjoyed the slopes. There are lots of extra activities at Kicking Horse which are listed below.

Activities

Kicking Horse resort offers lots of off-piste activities. There’s dog sledding, ice climbing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, heli-skiing and tubing. There are also excellent opportunities for cross country skiers with the Dawn Mountain Nordic Ski Trails, 25 kilometres of world class trails across very varied terrain.
