Snow Report & Weather Forecast
Klosters is a small, quaint resort about 10km from Davos and is widely renowned for being the favourite resort of Prince Charles.
Ski
Combined with the ski area around Davos, Klosters can offer up to 307km of downhill piste. Klosters itself is regarded as one of the best places to go if you are a fan of powder snow and the resort is high enough to ensure a decent amount of snow coverage throughout the season.
Après Ski in Klosters is good - skiers tend to gather at places like ‘Gaudis’ for a warming glass of beer or schnapps.
Town
Klosters is full of small, speciality shops which are a pleasure to browse if you don’t fancy taking to the slopes straight away.
If you are looking for a more full on shopping experience, definitely take a trip to Davos, where there are over 100 shops, boutiques and art galleries.
For such a small place, Klosters has an array of restaurants, some of which have been classed as the best in Europe. The resort is also proud of its ‘Schwendis’ - traditional, mountain eating houses.
Klosters has a vibrant night-life. Check out the ‘Casa Antica’. It has a nightclub on the ground floor with two separate, classy cocktail bars above!
Other Activities
If you fancy a day of spectacular, panoramic views then catch the Glacier Express which departs daily from Zermatt and meanders its way across more than 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels, through 7 valleys and over the 2033m Oberalp Pass to the resort of St. Moritz. The entire journey from start to finish takes around seven hours but don’t worry! There is a dining cart on board! Truly a fantastic way to experience the Swiss alps.
You could try your hand at tobogganing, ice skating, figure skating, ice hockey, winter hiking or curling to name but a few other activities. If you take the short journey to Davos there is also an indoor golf, tennis and squash club as well as a casino.
