Maurach am Achensee itself is a small resort with a lot to offer other than just skiing. This is a good thing as the resort has only four pistes - one for each ski level - and so it prizes itself on being an all-round winter resort.
One of the activities on offer is hiking. Maurach boasts 120km of hike-able terrain with brilliant views to enjoy. There is also a toboggan run and ice skating rink and the opportunity to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
