Sauze d’Oulx is one of the largest and most popular Ski resorts of the Piedmontese Alps alongside Sestiere and Bardonnechia. The village sits at an altitude of 1510m and it has a great selection of long ski slopes, restaurants, bars and hotels ensuring you'll spend an unforgettable ski holiday. Sauze is cheap, cheerful and is also the closest ski area to the city Turin. It has 3 ski schools with a total of 160 ski instructors.

Skiing from Sauze d'Oulx is a perfect opportunity to discover the different characteristics of the Milky Way ski area such as the pristine snow on the plateau of the Basset Col. Sauze’s local slopes spread across a broad wooded bowl and most of the slopes are for beginners and intermediate skiers. However experts can also find challenging pistes such as the steep vertical descents from Mont Fraiteve.

There are plenty of delights in this town. With a great choice of après- ski: cocktail bars and numerous restaurants, you will never be bored. Sauze is one of the major centres of the Viallatea. Most parts of the resort are modern but on the other hand there are still areas with old wooden hotels which make you feel like you have stepped back in time!

If the skiing is getting too much and you fancy something different you can try snowmobiling or ice skating. There are also other activities on offer like ice climbing or snow shoe walks.

All the ski schools take children from 4 years and up. For younger children there are nursery options. Piccolo Dumbo takes children from 13 months old.
