![]() Seyne Les Alpes - Ski Resort GuideSnow report | Ski Accommodation Only two hours from the Mediterranean, Seyne Les Alpes is a little corner of Switzerland in Provence! Situated in the Vallée de la Blanche it has managed to preserve its charm and authenticity, and stay a traditional village. This is an excellent family resort with plenty on offer for children. On the mountainThere are three ski domains in the area, but they are not linked so it is useful to have a car. Ski passes can be bought individually or a pass can be bought for Vallee de la Blanche which covers all three. Grand Puy is the nearest ski area and has 14 pistes over 22km - two green, two blue, seven red and three black. It is a fantastic place for beginners with short pistes, but will not satisfy advanced skiers. Chabanon is larger with 28 pistes, of which there are six green, seven blue, eleven red and four black. Slightly larger still is St Jean de Montclar which covers two mountain sides and has four green pistes, thirteen blue, ten red and four black. For snowboarders there is also a half pipe and boarder cross. The Vallée Blanche offers some great ski conditions - the pistes are not always that steep but they are always in the trees. For those who prefer cross county skiing then there are 33km of marked tracks at Le Col du Fanget. On the townSeyne Les Alpes is a beautiful cillage sith lots of religeous heritage. There is a 12th century church along with a chapel and old fortifications. There are some small shops including bakers and supermarkets and a couple of restaurants.
