Brixen im Thale is located in the northeast part of the state of Tyrol and is one of nine villages in the region. The Wilder Kaiser - Brixen Valley is lift-linked by a large lift system, making it the largest connected ski area in Austria, which is known as the Ski-Welt. This area offers a huge range of on- and off-piste skiing and snowboarding.

The Ski-Welt region has 250kms of fantastic runs for all levels of skiers, and especially for the beginner and intermediate skier. Thale is a very quiet resort and perfect for families and first time skiers to learn and take it easy on the slopes. There is also possibility to ski in the resorts near to Thale, such as Kirchberg, Kitzbuhel and St. Johan.
