Snow Report & Weather Forecast
Zermatt is a traditional village at the bottom of the Cervin, right by the Italian border. This little village is characterised by the absence of cars. In fact, only bikes, horse-drawn carriages and sledges are authorized so you are guaranteed an authentic mountain experience.
Zermatt - Ski
The diverse ski area is very beautiful, and part of one of Switzerland’s best parks in both summer and winter. Skiing in Zermatt is well adapted for intermediates and especially for very good skiers. The superb runs and glaciers … culminating at 4000 meters, offer unbelievable views across the local area and whole region. Ski addicts can make the most of both moghuls and glacial terrain. Even those adept at off-piste will be happy – particularly off the Stockhorn and Rothorn, where they are able to practice their passion safely.
Zermatt - Town
This typical little village, with non polluting electric cars, is a paradise for nature lovers. The majority of customers, many of which are of a more mature age, enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. This explains the presence of magnificent hotels, luxury shops and of course some of the world’s better mountain restaurants.
Situated right in the middle of the Alps, and with cars going by, Zermatt offers calm and relaxing holidays for all the family and groups of friends...
Activities
Zermatt is the base for a lot of various activities. Of course there is skiing and hiking with snowshoes, but also you can try ice-skating, paragliding, climbing the glacier, and even curling or spending time in an igloo!
